I finally got to see ''Capote'' right before the Oscars. Unfortunately, I wasn't really touched by this movie. I really like Catherine Keener, but her role in this film is very minor. Philip Seymour Hoffman, who I don't usually like, does give a great performance. Overall, I don't think it deserved a Best Picture nomination.

It was a good movie, probably wouldn't normally deserve a best picture nomination, but this year there weren't too many movies to choose from. I would have liked to see Lord of War in the running this year or Sin City. A couple movies that weren't only excellent, but did something original and extraordinary. I do think that P. S. Hoffman deserved the award though. This movie is certainly worth watching.
