Muse is finally out wih a new cd and this one kicks butt!!! The first single "Supermassive Black Hole" was inspired by Prince, was risky and might have scared some fans... The 2nd one "Knights of Cydonia", inspired by Queen is more faithful to their roots. After the 1st listen, I was very excited about this cd and about the idea of seeing them play this stuff live. The cd is powerful... the music is more "electronic-dance" than any of their earlier stuff and the result is pretty outstanding with songs like "Assassin" and "Invincible". Don't miss out on this one... one of the best Cds of the year.

So Thom Yorke (lead singer for Radiohead) decided to come out with a solo project before his next band cd is released in 2007. Everytime you hear a famous singer for a band is coming out with a solo album, you expect it (or maybe want it) to be completely different... this one is not very different from some Radiohead stuff and is probably mostly similar to "Amnesiac". The music is very moody with slow electronic beats and Yorke's hypnotizing voice. The result is interesting but not too exciting. For great fans of Radiohead only!

If you don't know Peaches, she's quite excentric and most of her lyrics are crude and very sexual. This time around, for her 3rd cd, she switches it up a little. Unfortunately, the result is much weaker than her earlier stuff in my opinion. The beats are more dance-pop than rock. Some songs are still very interesting including "Hit it Hard" and you can still hear her electronic drum beats.

I always look forward to a new M. Night Shyamalan flick. The story for this one was pretty weird and kind of all over the place. The acting was very good once again. In this one, Shyamalan has a more predominant role and the movie includes more funny moments. The concept of this film was interesting and I love the fact that this master storyteller takes risks, but unfortunately, not all of it worked as well as it should have. Still worth a look if you're a fan of his earlier work.

The word of mouth on this film was phenomenal and it's probably the reason why I was a little disapointed. Adam Sandler is good but the movie switches akwardly from the 1st funny half of the film to the dramatic second half. It also reminded me of better movies with similar concepts (i.e.: The Butterfly Effect, Bruce Almighty, etc.). Some jokes, early on in the film, fell flat. But one thing is for sure, Kate Beckinsale is looking better than ever.
